A Painting A Day

I am working on a special project in which I paint a painting a day. I invite you to follow along on my personal blog at http://www.amulti-coloredlife.blogspot.com/ I have some personal goals I am working on as well as following along on a challenge at http://www.wetcanvas.com/, a forum for artists. The idea is to paint as complete a painting as possible in a short period of time. And to do it often. Some of what you see was done in an hour or 2. The reason behind this as an artist it pushes you out of your comfort zone and forces you to learn to be efficient with brushstrokes, to see value changes and to convey meaning without being overly fussy. I like the looser style of painting when mixed with just enough detailed that it draws the viewer in to fill in the missing information. So that is my goal. You will see what all this looks like as I learn some new skills and above all, have fun with art.
